When we were in hospital with the tiny human there was a nurse who really – more than all the other committed, over-competent ones – knew how to get shit done. We could never remember her name and ended up calling her Nurse GSD (get shit done).
As the end of the year is approaching us at a tremendous speed, things will need to get done – quickly and efficiently – before shutdown. So, how do you cope with tight deadlines? Apart from huge amounts of coffee, Bioplus and priority lists, a music playlist is essential in my opinion.
So, here is my list of 21 kickass songs to get me going (in no particular order):
- Toxicity – System of a Down
- Butterflies and Hurricanes – Muse
- Everlong – Foo Fighters
- Firestarter – Prodigy
- Something I can never have – Nine Inch Nails
- Insomnia – Faithless
- Hard Candy – Counting Crows
- Budapest – George Ezra
- Right here, right now – Fatboy Slim
- Learn to fly – Foo FIghters
- Unwritten – Natasha Bedingfield
- Rock and roll dreams come true – Meatloaf
- Thunderstruck – ACDC
- Bad Reputation – Joan Jett
- Like a friend – Pulp
- Bloodbuzz Ohio – The National
- Salvation – Cranberries
- Sweet disposition – Temper Trap
- Encore – Linken Park ft Jay Z
- Born in the USA – Bruce Springsteen
- Lake of fire – Nirvana
I am curious to know which songs help you crunch some deadlines. Feel free to add to my list, I will give them a go!
Yours in crunch-time,
