21 things I learned in 2012

(and hopefully, I will remember them in 2013!

  1. Never act in anger.
  2. Or confusion.
  3. Creativity is a gift. Be grateful.
  4. To trust someone does not necessarily make them loyal.
  5. Colleagues must be friends, friends should not be colleagues.
  6. There are still people in this world that care.
  7. Respect is not owned. It is earned.
  8. You can’t run away from your history, but you can learn how to deal with it.
  9. Honesty makes you sleep better.
  10. Being kind in a cruel world does no harm.
  11. If you use grey next to pink it tends to look green.
  12. Your loved ones are always there…even when you are not.
  13. Always fire a warning shot before you shoot.
  14. There is a sincere innocence about children. Learn from it.
  15. Breaking down is easy. Picking yourself up takes greater effort.
  16. You can go a long way with only grace and patience.
  17. And wine.
  18. Just because you don’t see something, does not mean it is not there.
  19. You can never own too many shades of pink nail polish.
  20. Just because you can, does not mean you should.
  21. Cupcakes taste better when shared.
